COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This two-part training course on confined space reviews the basic requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, known as OSHA, for entering permit required confined spaces along with ANSI/ASSP Z117.1 – 2022 Safety Requirements for Entering Confined Spaces for best practices when entering, exiting, and working in permit required and non-permit confined spaces. In Part 1, we will cover the basic requirements for determining whether a space should be classified as confined space, the hazards that may be present in a confined space, types of confined spaces, confined space entry permits, and the requirements for entering a confined space. In Part 2, we will provide additional details on the key roles and responsibilities for each person involved in a permit space entry, along with information on rescue procedures and training requirements for each affected and authorized employee. Both Parts 1 and 2 must be taken to complete this course.
